Discussion: Carotid body tumours (also known as chemodectomas) are benign, slowly progressive, rare, hypervascular tumors with specific USG, CT and MRI findings. They represent the most common paragangliomas of head and neck. Conclusions: Although chemodectomas are rare in occurrence, they have typical imaging findings which can help in early detection.&#13;
